Well, we have completed our tour of Ottawa. We have been here a week now and have been on a tour of the Parliment buildings. It was interesting to see the architecture. We went up in the tower and had a good view of the city.
We spent the day at the "Museum of Civilization" There is so much to see here in Ottawa. There is NO where to park so we have learned to use the transit system and it works well (Rod got a transit map) . The system uses its own highway so we were able to take it from the outskirts close to our campground right to downtown although the walk to the museum was a challenge until we discovered the bus back :o)
The aviation museum was our next stop. Lots of planes to see, and unfortunately, we didn't find out until too late in the day we missed seeing the "North Star". It is supposed to be the only one left and it was being worked on in another hanger that we didn't know we would have been able to get into.
Our last stop was the War Museum. It was filled with the Canadian history of war exibits and presentations.
Tomorrow is a day of laundry and cleaning and we are heading to Quebec city on Friday. We don't know if there will be internet access there, so it may be awhile before I can add to this. I will update when I can.... bye for now.....
